Step With Me Interactive Stairs @ Bentall Centre

Step with me is an interactive stair installation that plays musical notes when users traverse up and down the steps. Alyssa's roll in this project was to coordinate fabrication of the horns, and the base as well as designing and 3D printing the electrical housing for all of the sensors and speaker components working closely with the elecrical and interaction designer. The project is constructed from 3D printed PETG, plumbing tubing, and aluminum. The 3d printed parts for the speaker and sensor housing were modelled in rhino taking into consideration  tolerances and installation clearance to ensure the components were mounted securely inside the base. Alyssa worked with the design director to develop the anamorphic lettering and ensure it was installed such that it provides the intended illusion to the viewer.
