Bridge Design for Revit

This research effort required close collaboration with engineers working on large scale infrastructure projects at Stantec. The project adressed issues with designing bridges in Revit by utilizing a series of dynamo graphs to allow for correct placement and reporting of bridge structural elements data in a 3D environment. Bridge design could now be carried out in Revit allowing for correct reporting of stationing values (bridge location data that follows roadway lenghts) and the corresponding height values responding to road geometry. This project made it possible to use a BIM tool developed specifically for mostly orthogonal building design to be adapted to bridge design.
